The County Government of Elgeyo Marakwet has initiated identification and validation of farmers in various Wards towards strengthening its mandate of supporting communities in enhancing adaptation and mitigation of climate change.
The exercise conducted today in Sambirir, Moiben Kuserwo, Emsoo and Chepkorio wards respectively saw hundreds today getting a nod to prepare farms for Assorted Fruit trees and Exotic trees.
The activity further seeks to increase access to green-environmentally friendly technologies to deliver low carbon climate resilient development within the county.
The same exercise will be done tomorrow in Endo, Kapsowar, Tambach and Soy North Wards.
