The two day fair brings together 20 Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions from across the North Rift region for a learning exchange programme.

The event was officially opened by the Deputy Governor, Prof. Grace Cheserek, under the theme: “Transforming Tomorrow Today: TVETs Power Bottom-Up Transformation Through Skilling, Innovation, Robotics and Research.”
The fair provides an important platform for trainees and institutions to showcase innovation, technical skills, creativity, and research aimed at driving socio-economic transformation through vocational training and technology.
“As a County Government, we remain committed to supporting TVET education through the expansion and strengthening of Vocational Training Centres (VTCs), provision of bursaries to needy learners, infrastructure development and modernization, as well as strengthening partnerships with the National Government and industry stakeholders,” said the DG.
Speaking during the official opening, Prof. Cheserek thanked the organizers for selecting the County to host the regional fair and commended the quality of exhibitions and competitions showcased by the trainees.
“I am particularly impressed by the competitions taking place. These platforms allow trainees to apply their skills, demonstrate creativity, and benchmark themselves with peers from across the region,” she said.
The County Executive Committee Member in charge of Education and Vocational Training Centres, Hon. Purity Koima, encouraged learners to embrace innovation and skills development.
“TVET is not just education — it is empowerment. It is a bridge between learning and livelihood, between potential and productivity,” she noted.

The future of our County and nation depends on the skills, creativity, innovation, and resilience of our young people.
