The County Government today hosted a delegation from the Communications Authority of Kenya, CAK, for a technical review and validation exercise on submitted mobile network coverage gaps within the county.

The engagement follows the Countyโ€™s submission on underserved areas requiring intervention, with the aim of prioritising the affected regions under the Universal Service Fund (USF) and other relevant regulatory and connectivity intervention frameworks.
During the meeting held at the Governorโ€™s Office, the County Government presented consolidated ward-level reports highlighting areas experiencing poor or no mobile network coverage across the county.

Deputy Governor Prof. Grace Cheserek who hosted the delegation, appreciated the Communications Authority noting that improved connectivity will enhance communication, service delivery, access to information, and socio-economic development across Elgeyo Marakwet County.
