World Vision Partner with County government to carry out livestock management system
The County of Elgeyo marakwet in partnership with World Vision today discussed modalities aimed to boost Livestock Identification and Traceability System.
This program at the tail end will enhance value for the livestock keeping.
The department of agriculture, livestock and fisheries CEC Edwin Seronei who led the engagement said the program will help in management ofdisease control in the county.
Seronei called on farmers to embrace modern technology which will strengthen and boost their activities for the purposes of economic growth and development.
According to the CEC, the county will conduct training for the Vertinary and livestock officers beginning next week to empower livestock keepers.
Mr Mosses Kiptugen, World Vision official said system aims to collect data about the healthy and management system.
Livestock Chief officer Robbert Langat ,Director Livestock Joseph Kiyeng were also present.
