Officials from the Embassy of Arab Republic of Egypt in Nairobi paid courtesy call to the office of Elgeyo Marakwet governor HE. Alex Tolgos today where they held discussions on potential trade partnerships.
Economic and Commercial secretaries Mr. Khalid Ibrahim and Ahmed El Kordy were on a mission to explore trade partnerships between the County Government of Elgeyo Marakwet and Egypt.
The officials urged the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KNCCI) Elgeyo Marakwet chapter together with the County government representatives to share proposals and seek the required documentation towards achieving mutual trade partnerships.
Egypt, with a largely arid vast land has remarkable success in Agriculture through sustainable Irrigation.
County Secretary Paul Chemmuttut, Water and Environment CEC Abraham Barsosio and representatives from departments of Agriculture, Sports, and Health were present.
The officials were keen on certain agricultural produce which could be potential for export.
