The County Government’s Department of Lands, Physical Planning, Housing, Urban Development, and Energy held a successful two-day sensitization workshop for CECMs and MCAs.

The workshop focused on the importance of the County Physical and Land Use Development Plan and outlined strategies for its completion within the existing legal framework.

The meeting is part of an ongoing collaboration between the County Government, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) through Digital Land Governance Program (DGLP), National Land Commission (NLC), and the State Department for Lands and Physical Planning.
The official closing of the workshop was presided over by the County Secretary, Mr. Lazarus Chebii, who expressed sincere appreciation to all the partners for their continued support in enhancing land governance in the county.
The workshop was attended by, CECMs led by the CECM for Lands, Mr. Thomas Maiyo, County Attorney, Mrs. Dorcus Cheruiyot, MCAs led by the Chairperson of the Lands Committee, Hon. Joseph Chebet, Chief Officers, Municipal Manager and technical officers from lands department
