Governor Wisely Rotich today played host to French Ambassador H.E Arnaud Suquet in Iten, the athletics World Heritage Site.
The Ambassador is in town to celebrate the partnership between the County of Champions and the French town of Miramas who helped train athletics coaches in Elgeyo Marakwet.
The 12 coaches, who completed their training in Miramas were feted at a ceremony held at Kechei Centre in Iten.
A ‘House of Coaches’ outfit has been formed to serve as a Trainer of Trainers to spur athletics training in County schools to develop the next generation of world athletics beaters.
Elgeyo Marakwet County remains indebted to France for the great support.
