Sorghum Growing gets mechanical boost…

By July 23, 2024 No Comments
The County Government’s sorghum commercialisation program along the Kerio Valley has received a boost as the Cereal Growers Association (CGA) introduced farmers to mechanical harvesting of the cash crop.
With the mechanisation model, farmers will benefit from maximum yields, elimination of crop damage, timely harvest, among others thus translating to increased incomes.
The CGA tested their machinery today with farmers at Kamsiwet Scheme. If successful it will revolutionise sorghum farming and make it the Gold of Kerio Valley.
