The new County Public Service Board (CPSB) Secretary Christine Ng’eno has been sworn in.
Ng’eno takes over from Ms Francisca Bartoo whose term ended. Following her exit, the board’s legal officer, Dorcas Biwott, held the position in an acting capacity.
The swearing in ceremony was presided over by Iten Senior Principal Magistrate C.A Kutwa and witnessed by H.E Governor Alex Tolgos.
The Magistrate congratulated Christine and called on her to uphold integrity in the discharge of her duties to the public.
The Governor also congratulated her for emerging the top in interviews for the position conducted by the Kenya School of Government.
He noted that Christine was not only qualified but experienced, having served in the former local government authority.
The Governor thanked Ms Biwott who acted in the position, appreciating her for dedicated service and hard work.
The CPSB Chairman Michael Lelit, board members Johanna Cheptoo and David Kiprono also attended the swearing in ceremony held at the Governor’s boardroom.
Lelit assured Christine of the board’s support and thanked the Governor for appointing a substantive officer to the position.
Also present were County Secretary Paul Chemmuttut, CEC Public Service Pamela Rono, Finance CEC Kevin Biwott, Chief of Staff Abraham Barmaasai, Chief Officer Lornah Kipsang, Mark Chesergon and governor’s legal advisor Janet Kirui among other staff.
Prior to her appointment, Christine served as the County’s Director of Human Resource.
