Livestock: Bugar Cattle Dip is now operational after rehabilitation

Bugar Cattle Dip in Kapchemutwa Ward was operationalised on Saturday following its rehabilitation.
Hundreds of cows plunged into the dip in an exercise witnessed by department of Livestock Chief Officer Robert Lagat and area MCA Stephen Cheruiyot.

H.E Governor Wisley Rotich said his administration was keen to ensuring to reviving cattle dips across the county to enable farmers control livestock diseases.

“In order to effectively control East Cost Fever (ECF) and other tick-borne diseases, we will operationalise all cattle dips across the county and train their operators to ensure prudent management,” said the Governor.

Vaccinnation is also ongoing across the county.
