14,000 coffee seedlings, 5,000 cypress and 3,120 avocados were distributed to farmers in Cherang’any Chebororwa on saturday.
Deputy Governor Prof Grace Cheserek supervised the exercise at Chebororwa distribution point accompanied by Public Service minister Monica Jeptum.
In Soy North ward, 5,000 pixie Oranges were distributed. CEC for environment, water and climate change Jason Lagat led the activity together with area MCA Simion Chepseba.
In Kaptarakwa ward, 11,200 avocado
and 10,750 exotic seedlings were distributed respectively.
In Tambach ward, Chief Officer Environment and climate change Mr. Isaac Koech led the distribution of 4,000 avocado and 14,000 Coffee Seedlings respectively.
The ongoing distribution of fruit and tree seedlings investment across the county courtesy of Financing Locally -led Climate Action FLLOCA program will proceed on Monday to cover the remaining Electoral Wards.
FLLOCA is a World Bank funded project being implemented by the National Treasury through the Program Implementation Unit (NTPIU) and the County Government through the County Climate Change Unit (CCCU).
