Elgeyo Marakwet Health Department Signs Performance Contracts, Pledges Measurable Health Outcomes. Health Services CEC Monicah Rotich led departmental staff in signing performance contracts.

The exercise was cascaded to all directorates in the department in an exercise held at the Iten County Referral Hospital (ICRH) Hall.

The exercise marked a key step in reinforcing accountability, efficiency, and alignment with county performance objectives for the 2025/2026 financial year.

Mrs. Rotich emphasized the department’s commitment to delivering measurable health outcomes in line with the County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP III 2023–2027) and the Governor’s development agenda.

The performance contracts outline specific deliverables for each directorate covering service delivery, financial management, staff performance, infrastructure development, and community health outcomes.
Each directorate committed to measurable indicators such as improved patient satisfaction, enhanced data-driven planning, reduction in preventable diseases, and strengthened facility-level governance.
In her remarks, Ms. Rotich urged all directorates to translate the commitments into tangible results, stressing the importance of teamwork, timely reporting, and continuous monitoring.

She noted that performance contracting is not a formality but a strategic tool to ensure every officer contributes directly to improved health service delivery and the realization of county and national health targets.
