The Department of Agriculture today distributed coffee and potato seeds across Cherangany/Chebororwa, Sambirir, and Kapsowar wards.
This as part of ongoing agricultural empowerment programme aimed at boosting household incomes and enhancing food security.
A total of 30,000 coffee seedlings were distributed, alongside 400 bags of certified potato seeds in Kapyego Ward.
The second phase of the exercise continues tomorrow, Wednesday, in Chepkorio, Kamariny, Tambach, and Kapchemutwa wards, where another 30,000 coffee seedlings and close to 500 bags of certified potato seeds will be distributed to farmers.
The County Government is supporting farmers through provision of quality farm inputs, improving agricultural productivity, and creating sustainable economic opportunities for residents.
