The County Department of Water, Environment, and Climate Change hosted a technical team from the national Project Implementation Unit (PIU) of the Financing Locally-Led Climate Action Program, Kenya (FLLoCA) program. The team reviewed submitted concept notes for FY 2024/2025 and conducted a field visit to assess the feasibility of proposed FLLoCA projects.
This initiative aims to support locally driven climate resilience efforts and enhance county governments’ capacity to manage climate risks. The FLLoCA program focuses on decentralizing climate finance, empowering communities, and fostering county-led climate initiatives.
