We had the privilege of hosting a delegation from the Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ), Office of the Ombudsman, who are on a two-day visit to support the domestication of the Complaint Handling Mechanism and the County Access to Information Law.
The delegation was led by Mr. Charles Dulo, Chairperson of CAJ, who commended the county government for its ongoing efforts in addressing complaints effectively.
Mr. Dulo emphasized that CAJ’s mandate is to promote administrative justice and facilitate access to information in Kenya through complaint resolution and public education—key pillars for efficient service delivery.
Deputy Governor Prof. Grace Cheserek, who chaired the meeting, reiterated the county’s commitment to building a society rooted in transparency, integrity, and fairness
She noted the importance of tackling maladministration, promoting leadership and integrity, and enhancing capacity building.
County Coordinator and Program Manager for FLLoCA Mr. Barsosio K. Abraham, who was also present, emphasized the importance of actualizing a comprehensive grievance redress mechanism within the county.
