Cherangany-Marakwet Water & Sanitation Company (CHEMAWASCO board members sworn in
The inaugural Board of Directors of Cherangany-Marakwet Water & Sanitation Company (CHEMAWASCO) were sworn in today.
Mrs. Veronica Suter, Amos Maiyo,Thomas Biwott, Edwin Ronoh,Barnabas Yator and
Dr.Victoria Kutto will be expected to steer the water agency that is currently serving more than 1500 households.
The ceremony held at the Governor Wisely Rotich Iten office was presided over by Iten Senior Principal Magistrate Hon. Gladys Adhiambo.
Chemawasco currently distribute more than 2 million litres of water daily.
The immediate assignment will be to oversee implementation of Kimanich -Kapsowar -chesoi water project together with Northrift water service Board.
According to the Governor, a new water company that will provide services to the residents of Keiyo South Sub County will be established soon.
