H.E Governor Wisley Rotich today joined the EMC nursing fraternity to celebrate the International Nurses Week.
The celebrations are held to highlight the noble role of the nursing profession, frontline health workers whose contribution to the well being of mankind is enormous.
The nurses joined their counterparts worldwide to mark the International Nurses Week, celebrated each year from 6th to 12th May, ending on the birthday of the late Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.
The EMC celebrations were held at KMTC Iten, where the Governor commended the nurses for their dedication, compassion, and immense contribution to the County’s healthcare system.
“You are the fulcrum of our healthcare system, often on call and closely connected to our people. We owe you our support and respect,” he said.
