Arror and Kabulwo multi-purpose Cereal stores in Kerio Valley
Each of the Cereal store has a storage capacity of 3,000 bags.
According to Mr Ben Kibor, the Coordinator Food Systems Resilience Program FSRP, the stores were basically aggregation Centres for sorghum, a popular cash crop in the area.
The impressive Kabulwo and Arror community projects were now multi-purpose in nature and will also serve as fertilizer storage centres, said Kibor.
They were funded by the Emergency Locust Response Program ELRP through the County government’s department of Agriculture.
The management of the facilities will be handed over to the community later and will be under the Cooperatives, Mr Kibor said.
