Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare (Ampath Kenya) today held a consultative meeting with representatives from the health department.
Following the US Stop-Work Order in January 2025, Elgeyo Marakwet County, with the support of Ampath, is working on the integration of HIV activities in the day to day health activities.
The teams led by Ampath Chief of Party Prof. Sylvester Kimaiyo and Health County Executive Committee Member Monica Rotich, the consultation discussed on the next course of action.
The programme will also see Ampath hand over the management of its screening truck to the county.
Present were CO. Caroline Magut , Laurence Gogos medsup ICRH among other staff health department.
“This will help us scale up disease diagnosis across our county,” said Ms. Rotich, “This is one way of taking medical care close to our people.”
