20/09/2022: H.E appoints a 15 member steering committee headed by the Deputy Governor, Prof. cheserek and Thomas Cheruiyot to explore feasibility of upgrading Tambach Teachers College to a university.

24/10/205: University of Eldoret (UOE) takes over the mentorship of UOE following the signing of an MOU.
31/10/2025: A technical team from the university of Eldoret visits Tambach TTC, Mokoro, Kimwarer and Chebara where campuses will be established.
29/10/2025: The Commission for university (CUE) conducts an official visit to Tambach TTC to assess the institutions’ facilities as part of the ongoing process of Kerio Valley University College.
20/06/2026: Kerio Valley University College is gazetted paving way for its opening in september 2026 under Legal Notice No. 105
July 2026: Kenya universities and colleges central placement service (KUCCPS) opens application portal for Kerio Valley University college.
September 2026: First batch of students expected to report at Tambach
