Mr. Christopher Kipsang, a video journalist from Elgeyo Marakwet, has been named Journalist of the Year at the Media Council of Kenya [MCK] Awards.
Governor Wisley Rotich commended Kipsang for the achievement.
“Congratulations to our own Mr. Christopher Kipsang for your exceptional recognition as Journalist of the Year and for winning the Health Reporter of the Year award,” he wrote on social media.
Rotich said Mr. Kipsang’s dedication to covering vital health stories continued to inspire communities in the county and beyond.
Mr. Kipsang also produced the hit song “Mali Safi Lakwet” performed by artiste Millicent Jero popularly known as Marakwet Daughter.
Kristopher Sang has also been documenting farming feature stories.
