World Vision Kenya has donated critical medical equipment to Level 3 and Level 4 health facilities in the county to improve service delivery for vulnerable groups, especially expectant mothers and children.
The donation was made Thursday under REACTS IN project funded by Global affairs Canada (GAC) which targets maternal, newborn and child health in underserved areas.
The consignment included 10 oxygen concentrators, 50 BMI weighing scales, 5 vital signs monitors, and 50 IUCD insertion kits.
According to Governor Wisely Rotich, the equipment will strengthen emergency response, routine antenatal care, and family planning services at the beneficiary facilities. Oxygen concentrators are expected to support treatment of respiratory distress in newborns and patients with severe conditions, while the vital signs monitors will aid in early detection of complications.
World Vision Kenya noted the support aligns with REACTS IN’s goal of reaching vulnerable populations with lifesaving health interventions.
The equipment will be distributed to selected Level 3 and Level 4 facilities across the county.
