The County Climate Change Unit implementing Financing Locally Let Climate Action program, took the public participation to kaptarakwa, Chepkorio, kabiemit and Metkei Wards to collect views from public concerning projects to be implemented this financial year (2024-2025) under FLLoCA program.
In Chepkorio ward, flax water project received a nod for funding as a means to ensure locals access clean water.
Kapkesem and Kamelil water projects were identified too under water sector
In Agriculture Promotion of fruit trees;Tree tomato,Avocado and Apple were identified.
Establishment of model tree nursery at Cherota, Protection and consetvation of wetlands and escarpments of Cherota, Lelboinet, Samich and Kipsaina too were considered.
On Wednesday, projects priorities will be identified in Arror, Embobut/Embolot, Endo and sambirir wards.
