An estimated 117 households in Kipsoen Sub-location, Kamariny Ward, will access clean and reliable water through the newly launched Kamagut water project by the County Government of Elgeyo Marakwet.
The project aims to improve household livelihoods and spur local development by ensuring consistent access to safe water for daily use.
Officials say the initiative will reduce the time and effort families spend fetching water, while supporting better health and sanitation in the area.
The project also forms part of the county’s broader plan to expand access to clean water across rural communities.
Residents are expected to benefit immediately once the system becomes operational.
