The County government has engaged development partners in the digital space with a view to expanding digital opportunities across the County.

The partners which included representatives from the British High Commission, Eldohub, the Otterman Institute, ICT Authority and Damadei Technology under the EDACR programme were hosted by Governor Wisley Rotich on Thursday.
According to the Governor, the partnership marked a key step in strengthening the County’s digital transformation agenda.
This, the Governor said enhanced the strong foundation his administration had already laid through the implementation of ICT digital literacy across all the Early Childhood Development Education Centres ECDEs thereby ensuring children are introduced to technology at the earliest stages of learning.
“We are now scaling these efforts through practical training in the gig economy, digital agriculture, the creative sector and ICT skills, targeting 10,000 beneficiaries across the county through both online and offline platforms,” the Governor said.
He said his administration was keen towards deepening digital inclusion and ensuring that no part of the county is left behind.
“Together with our partners, we will continue to invest more in digital skills and infrastructure to prepare our people for the opportunities of the future,” added the County Chief who is also the Council of Governors CoG ICT chairperson.

In attendance were his CEC for Public Service, ICT and Corporate Affairs Edwin Seronei and Chief officer Kimutai K Daniel
