MEDS offers humanitarian support.

Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) has made a donation valued at Sh.1M towards the health needs of victims of the mudslide tragedy in the County.

MEDS team led by Head of Commercial, Mr. Titus Munene, today delivered the donation which included medical supplies, hospital beds and foodstuffs from the institution.
H.E Governor Wisley Rotich who received the donation today at his office expressed the County’s heartfelt appreciation to MEDS for the tremendous show of compassion and solidarity.
He added that the County had sought support to reopen Chesongoch Mission Hospital which was among the critical infrastructure severely affected by the mudslides.
“We are working closely with the Catholic Diocese of Eldoret, under the leadership of Bishop Rt. Rev. Dominic Kimengich on this. We have mobilized partners for the essential task of rebuilding the hospital,” he said.

Present included Health CEC Monicah Rotich, Chief Officers Jeremiah Chirchir (Health), Lorna Kipsang (Office of Governor) and Dr. Lawrence Kogos, ICRH medical Superintendent.
