Investments, Trade and Industry Cabinet Secretary, Lee Kinyanjui, said Elgeyo Marakwet ranks high in a recently released counties economic index.
In a speech read on his behalf by Treasury Principal Secretary Dr. Chris Kiptoo, the CS said most of the County’s economic indicators were positive giving an ideal destination for trade and industrialisation.
While welcoming investors to the County, Governor Wisley Rotich gave investors incentives as part of the County Government’s commitment to create an ease of doing business environment.
He announced that his administration would create all weather roads to areas where investors choose to set up, drill solar powered boreholes and assist them in the processing and approval of all regulatory investment demands.
The expo recorded over 150 exhibitors, drawn from various sectors.
