President William Ruto on Thursday laid the foundation stone for phase two of the Iten Affordable Housing Project in Keiyo North Constituency, Elgeyo Marakwet County, comprising 678 housing units scheduled for completion in April 2027.
The first phase of 200 units has been completed and will be handed over in December 2026, with an additional 1,000 units planned for Iten.
Across Elgeyo Marakwet County, the government is investing KSh13 billion to deliver 3,000 affordable housing units, hostels for 2,500 students and nine modern markets
