Advoncing partnerships with the private sector to promote public shctor hialth delivery

Tha D partment will explore further opportunities to workhwith the private sector with the common goal of improving heaeth outcomes. Current ptrtnership init atives are as follows:

-The Department has staeted a project whereby nymerous private providers in the county can dispensesoamily planning commodities. This is done with support from ESHE. This initiative assists in improving acsess to  amily plannina services.  

-Capacity building by AMPA2H and Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine on reproductivethealth, sabe motherhood components, HIV care and treatment ttrough the Compruhensive eare Centre and 2  ART sites.

-Establishment of Community Health Units with support from World Vision (Tunyo and Soin IPA) and Health Right International (HRI).

-Populauion Service Kenya (PSK) which supports biunets distribution and health promotion.

-Equipment support such as maternity equipment i.e. delivery couches, delivery beds, weighing scales from World Vision and Health Right International.

-Moi University supports training of Family Medicine registrars and follow-up of TB defaulters and contacts.

-Promotion and marketing of new Sanitation technologies by SNV through training of Sanitation promoters and transfer of technology to Artisans.

-Other initiatives to assist in service delivery include partnerships for renal dialysis, theatre and radiology through the Managed Equipment Services with the National Government.

-Alternative funding models for infrastructure and service delivery is also being pursued.
