Kaptarakwa Ward is one of the wards in Keiyo South Sub County. It is inhabited by the native Keiyo community. It derives its name from a huge plantation of cedar which grew naturally during the pre-colonial era locally referred to as Tarakwa in the common language. The ward is the source several rivers such as River Torok, Chepkoilel, Cheminya among others. The beautiful environment which is green all year round.
