Kapsowar ward is a merger between Koibarak and Kapsowar ward of the   former county council of Marakwet. It is one of six wards of Marakwet west Sub County hosting the sub county headquarters which is Kapsowar. It borders Arror ward to the East, Sambirir ward to the North. Emsoo ward is the South and Moiben /Kuserwo ward to the west.
