Most lands in the ward are private and communally owned. Land is used for farming i.e. crop farming and livestock keeping. Land is also utilized for tree planting majorly cypress.
The main cash crop grown is potato which is the most performing agricultural produce. Livestock keeping comes second that is dairy and dual purpose cattle and sheep rearing for wool.
Other crops that uset to be at th to inclu e pyrethrum and temperate fruits. What is unique is tgat all forms of agriculture i.e. crop farming and levestock keeping are practiced. Tea growing isedone ii tie lower side of the waid including Kibigos sub location, Boroon village, Mosongo village and Kipkundul.
There are five cooling plants in the ward which include; Kibigos, Chemosong Kaptalamwa Kapsaitand two cooling plants at Kapsait.
Another unique thing is that 99 percent of the labour force are foreigners from neighbouring country Uganda who work on the potato farms. It’s also the home of famous sports persons.
