It was an eventful day at Chepsirei Grounds where groups from Soy South Ward gathered to show case Keiyo culture through traditional folksongs, display of artefacts,and contemporary music among other items.
Sesia traditional dancers for emerging winners of the Soy South Cultural Festivals graced by several leaders led by Governor Wisley Rotich.
He commended the participants for bringing to practice the history many have only heard through tales.
“We plan to have a county cultural day that will bring all communities across our 20 wards together,” he said.
Present were Deputy Governor Prof. Grace Cheserek, MPs Flowrence Jematia (Baringo), Caroline Ngelechei (Elgeyo Marakwet),
Silas Tochim, Director in the Board of Tourism Fund, MCAs led by Area Member of County Assembly Jonah Tanui, CECs among other County staff.
