Governor Wisley Rotich held discussions with Italian Ambassador to Kenya H.E Robert Natali and Director Italian Corporation Giovanni Grandi and other officials to discuss on how the Italian Government can support Elgeyo Marakwet County in various sectors.
The Italian Corporation board has approved 4.8 Million Euros support to Elgeyo Marakwet and West Pokot Counties meant for sustainable agriculture,conserving catchment areas and establishing model nurseries.
The program will be jointly implemented with Netfund.
The ambassador has promised to visit the county to asses other areas of potential partnership.
This is the first time the Italian corporation is establishing partnership with Elgeyo Marakwet.
