Much of the work in this plan has been put together through the efforts of multiple players. Their thoughts, expertise, experience and financial inputs are embodied in this document that is going to be the guide to achieve the health targets in the 2018/19 Financial Year. I thank the able leadership of County Executive Committee Member for Health, Mr. Kiprono Chepkok and the Chief Officer of Health Mr. Ishmael Chelanga who continually inspired the health care workers to double their efforts in serving the citizenry of Elgeyo Marakwet County. They have continually lobbied for increased funding for health and other resources from County Government, private and non-governmental organizations. I appreciate the County Health Management Team (CHMT) as the technical lead-team at the county level and the Sub-County Health Management Teams (SCHMTs) at sub-county levels. These teams consolidated the Sub-Counties plans and the health facilities plans respectively, resulting in this final Annual Work Plan 2018/19. Space does not allow me to mention each participating individual by name, but let it suffice that each individual input toward the development of this plan is appreciated.
