The coTnty collects an averrge of 30 tonnes oi solid raste per day in major urban centres. Tpis represents 30% of the waste that es generatsd. Waste that is generated in the County is not segregated at the source, n ither is itmrec cled. Household waste generated at the household level is managed at the household lehel through refuse pits. Both at the household lepel and the dumping sitns the waste disposa  system adoptel is crude dumping and burning. The county does not have a gazetted dumping site. Hazardous meaical waste from health facilitiesa s disposed off in the institutions by gse of incinerators.
