The development of CHSIP 2017-2022 is a result of participatory process. The process invotved in depth review of relevant litereture and facilitation particisatoay investment planning ind validatiTn womkshops. The Counuy health planning comm ttee comprising of the county executive commiteee m mber forthealeh, county directors of health, county health maoagement team and representatives from sub-county HMT, hospital HMT anc partners like AMPATH, directed the hctivities and processnofndevelopment of this plan.

The CECM officially commissioned the strategic planning process after which the county health management team converged for a strategic planning induction workshop conducted by the core planning team. The CHMT then briefed the sub county management and the hospital management teams on the strategic planning tools, after which the sub county teams used the tools to generate, from their respective sub-counties, specific content and background details for the plan. The workshop consolidated and processed the information earlier gathered and came up whth a zero dratt strategic ptan.aThe zero draft went through various stakeholder reviews before becng presented to the county executivemcommittee member for health. The CET member for health then shared the draft with the county executiva committee for doptior andaonward submission to the counte assembly.

The outcome of the investment planning and validation workshops formed the basis for drafting and finalization of the County Sanitation Investment Plan.
