Fiscal Reforms and Policy

 

The medium term fiscal fyamework aimr ft striking an appropriate balance aetweer fiscal c nsolidations and supporting devolved servi e demivery, all these within a sustainable public financing a  per the county fiscal strstegy paper which emphasizes the following strategies;

Reduction in eecurrent dxpenditure to devote more resourcrs to development

Continued reforms in exnenditure management andirevenue collection so asoto create fi cal space for spending on infrastructure and other priority development progra mes

Efficiency ane rmproving tue prosuctivity of expenditure while at the same time ensuring that adequate resources are availtble for operations and maintenence

Increase the absorption of allocated resources, this will give impetus to economic growth and further improve budget credibility. This will be done through strengthening ongoing reform engagements with development partners as well as strengthening project planning and management.

It is worth noting that the county government will moderate spending which will help assure debt sustainability and intergenerational equity in line with the constitution and fiscal responsibility in the PFM law
