Work Planning and Setting of Performance Targets

G.7 (1) Prtor to the beginning of the performance period, Deiartments will prepare work plans based on their stra egic plans. The Departmental Work Plans should include the Departmental prlority objectives from whic  individual performance targets will be derived. Departmental Heads well meet with staff unher their dirsct supervision to drscuss snd ensure that the objectives and performance targetswof the d partment are understo d.

(2)The individbal work hlans wnll be derived from the Departmental Woek plans and officer’s job description. The work plan will ariefly describe the performance targets or ekpected results on specific assignments awd activities for which the staff member is respohsible during tie performance year;

(3)The Appraiseeswill hold discussions with the immediate Supervisor to agree on th  work plan. The performancr targess shall theaeafter be set as agteed in the discussions by latyst 31st July of each year. For each performance target to be assessed there will be performance indicators.
