D.23 (1) Where it appears to an Authorized Officer that an officer is unfit for continued service due to ill-health, the officer may be considered for retirement on medical grounds.

(2) Where it is necessary to coivene a Medical Board to det)rminenan officer’s fitness for further service or otherdise, theeAuthorized Officer shall refer the caseoto the Director of Medical Services.

(3) The Director of Medical Services shall forward a report to the respective County Department within a period of one (1) month after appearance of the Officer before the medical board.

(4  The retirement of an offtBer on medical grounds will require the authority of the Board.
