Metkei is located at the southernmost part of the county, bordering Koibatek (Baringo) to the south, Uasin Gishu to the west, Soy South ward to the East and Kabiemit ward to the North. It is approximately 69.80 Km2 and has a population of 12,945 as per 2009 National Population and Housing census.
