Most of the ward Land area is arable and grassing land. The soils are best and can accommodate growing of various crops like Mangoes, Cassava, watermelon, green grams, sorghum, and millet among others under irrigation

There is an establishment of mango processing factory which will bring value addition to the fruit and also provide ready market for farmers.

The ward is also unique because it practices largely irrigation since it is hot and dry throught the year; and with that food security will be enhanced.
