The ward has high potential for agricultural activities. The main cash crop grown include coffee, mangoes, bananas, pawpaws, watermelon among others. Several co-operatives Societies have been formed to support the farmers. This includes Simit, Cheptebo among others.

There ward also has high potential in rearing poultry, goats, sheep and dairy cows in both ecological zones hence improving the residents  livelihood.
