County Donates Food Items to Muslim Community…

A County team led by Ag. County Secretary Paul Tenoi today led a group of County Staff in donating food items to the Muslim community at Iten Mosque.
The team from the County was joined by the County Commissioner, Philip Ndambuki, who was present to make a donation to the Muslim believers on behalf of President Uhuru Kenyatta. Addressing the congregation, Tenoi said the essence of the gesture is to urge religious coexistence in the County and in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadhan offer Iftar to the Muslim neighbors’ and assist the needy. The items donated to the faithful included rice, beans, wheat flour, maize flour and porridge porridge flour. Elgeyo Marakwet Chair Muslim Association, Rashid Chebii thanked the county and the national government for the food items and the security offered during the Ramadan fast and urged the Muslim faithful’s to pray for good leadership, peace and security in the County.
