Catholic Church hands over Hospital to County...

Residents of Marakwet East Sub-county are set to have a sub-county referral hospital at its headquarters after Chesoi Mission Hospital, formally managed by the Catholic Church, was officially handed over to the management of the County Government's Health Departments. Addressing the locals at the handing over ceremony of the health center facility at Chesoi, H.E Governor Alex Tolgos assured the residents that his government would renovate and upgrade the health centre to a sub-county hospital to serve residents of M.E sub-county because of its central position. The upgrade will ensure better health services through more staffing, stocking of drugs and installation of more medical equipment. Presiding over the handing over ceremony were Fr. William Kosgei -Vicar General Eldoret Diocese and Fr. George Okoth -Development Officer at Eldoret Diocese in-charge of Health who said they had faith the County would run it well based its management of health facilities across the county. Present was Health CEC Thomas Ruttoh and Director Administration Kevin Biwott among other officials.
